Every time I edit a video of my kids and share it with family members, it never fails one that someone makes a comment about the talent it takes to edit a video.
To be honest, I have no talent. In fact, I use iMovie themes, slap a couple text fields on it and call it good. Try as I might to explain the relative ease of completing such a task, I’m often told how intimidating the process is.
It’s obvious, while some of us might view iMovie as a simple editing tool, others do not.
Moonlight is a relatively new app with one goal: Make editing video as simple as possible.
The app lacks the fancy transitions and effects found in Apple’s iMovie, but still provides an easy method for trimming down video clips and merging them together. You can even add music to the clip if you feel so inspired.
When you first launch the app, you can select the video clip(s) you’d like to edit. From there, you can trim each clip down to the desired length, drag and drop them into a different order and apply filters or adjust the video’s overall look.
When finished, you can share the video to the typical social networks or save it to your camera roll.
