The Detroit Zoo is turning into the lands of Westeros and Essos, with cute little warthog piglets vying to win the Iron Throne.

Five new warthog piglets were born at the zoo in April, and were named after several popular characters from HBO’s hit fantasy series “Game of Thrones.”
Four of the five — Daenerys, Sansa, Cersei and Hodor — were introduced to zoo attendees yesterday, May 27. The fifth piglet, Tyrion, is a little too small to join his brothers and sisters just yet, and will be held behind the scenes until he gains enough weight to be paraded around in front of the public.
While their names were taken from a violent, bloody TV series with characters who fight and plot against each other all the time, we hope the lives of these warthogs will be a little more peaceful.
