If standing in line for your fast food already takes up too much of your time, you can now shave off a few minutes between when you order a Doritos Locos Taco and when you can sink your teeth into its cheesy goodness. That’s because Taco Bell launched a new app for Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS operating systems on Tuesday that lets you order food from your phone and pick it up at your local restaurant, saving you the hassle of waiting in line or even talking to someone.

The app lets you browse the menu, pick items that you want and then submit and pay for your order. You then head to the Taco Bell location you choose to pick up your food, either from the drive-thru or at the counter inside. Startups Cardfree and Tillster help handle your payment in the app, and Taco Bell assures that it’s safe and secure.
One perk of the app is that you can customize your food, adding extra cheese to your burrito or asking for no sour cream on your nachos. Also, if you want reorder a meal from the past, you can simply rotate your phone to do it, no thinking required.

Taco Bell blacked out its Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and Facebook accounts, leaving only one new message urging you to download the app. There are still old photos on Instagram and Facebook, but the company deleted every Tweet from its Twitter account, which is a bold move for its social presence.
Taco Bell is the first of the major fast food chains to let you order food for pick up in store and at the drive-thru, and it’s a sign that mobile payments are getting more mainstream. For instance, McDonald’s also offers mobile payments with Apple Pay.
Sadly, you’ll still need to drag yourself off the couch to get your food since Taco Bell doesn’t deliver…yet.
