If you follow news on many different websites, and sometimes save links to read later, you might be familiar with Pocket. The app and browser tools Pocket offers will save articles in an easy-to-read format that you can enjoy online or offline when convenient. Now their team is opening a beta test group for Android, iOS, and Web users who want to sample their latest features.
Although they’ve only added one feature for now, called Recommendations, it might prove to be very useful if you’re looking for what’s popular versus what’s new, according to their blog post. Here’s how to try it out:
Android: Join the Pocket Google+ community, then join the beta tester group at this link. It may take a few minutes for an update to the app to show up in Google Play.
iOS:Users will need to request access to the beta program at this link. Once space opens in the iOS beta program, you’ll receive an email from Pocket with a link to download the latest version of the app.
Web: Log in to your Pocket account through your Web browser and then click this link. No need to confirm anything, as you’ll automatically join the beta.
Keep in mind that this new feature is experimental and may not always work as intended. You can help out the Pocket team by providing feedback on your experience through the respective channels.
