Ever encountered a time when you needed to rename a file or folder stored in Dropbox, but only had your iOS device nearby? As you likely found out, renaming just wasn’t something the app would allow you to do.

On Monday that changed however, when Dropbox released an update for its iOS app which enabled a renaming feature. The update comes shortly after Dropbox integrated Microsoft Office into its mobile apps.

Renaming either a file or folder within the most recent update (which you can download here) is as easy as you’d imagine.

Renaming a file requires you to open the file, then select the three-dot icon in the top-right corner. From there, tap on Rename and enter the new name.

Renaming a folder is done by swiping right across the folder, then selecting the rename icon (the letter “A” followed by a cursor). Edit the name then tap on the Rename button at the top of your screen.

This addition of a seemingly small feature is sure to save users from frustration.
