How to access Chrome bookmarks from any browser

Chrome offers a sync feature that can save your bookmarks and passwords, among other preferences. In the past these bookmarks were synced to your Google Docs account, but after the switch to Drive, the list of bookmarks disappeared. Now if you want to access your bookmarks, you need to be using the Chrome client on desktop or mobile. But what if you prefer a different browser when using your iPad, or when you’re on a computer that you can’t install Chrome on?

As a solution, Guiding Tech recommends using Bookmarks Anywhere to sync your favorite links to the cloud. Here’s how to get started:

Install a copy of the Bookmarks Anywhere extension for your Chrome browser.

You will need to grant the extension permission to access the bookmarks on your account.

Head to http://www.bookmarksany.com/bookmarks from any Web browser and sign in with your Google account to see all of your synced bookmarks, with the same organization you use in Chrome.

This is an excellent solution if you do not want to manually sync your bookmarks to different devices, and want to be able to access them from any Web browser.
