Google users were unable to access several services early Wednesday, but everything seems to be back up and running at this point.
A glimpse at the Google Apps Dashboard showed problems with a number of services, notably Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Google Drive, Google Sites, Google Groups, Google Admin console and Google Hangouts. Related services, such as Google+ and Google Contacts, were also impacted, according to affected users.
The problem seemed to start with Google Drive as the company noted at 7:07 p.m. PT Tuesday that it was investigating reports of an issue with its online storage service. By 7:53 p.m, Google said it had restored Google Drive service for some users. But it took until 12:23 a.m. on Wednesday for the problem to be fully resolved and for service to apparently be back up for all users.

Then other services ran into glitches. At 12:52 a.m., Google said it was investigating an issue with its email service. The same status applied to Google Calendar, Google Talk and several other services. At 1:19 a.m., the company said it had resolved the problems with its remaining services.
Many people rely on Gmail and other Google services, so the outage triggered several tweets commenting on the problem, as reported by Mercury News and 9to5Google.
In its Dashboard updates, Google didn’t reveal the source of the outages. A spokesman for the search giant told CNET that all issues are now resolved and that the company has nothing to add on the incident.
