Find a recipe by image with Bing’s new Image Search

Other than for a few trusted dishes, my collection of cookbooks sits in my kitchen gathering dust for the simple fact that it’s easier to find a recipe on the Internet than than by flipping through a book.

Microsoft has made it even easier to find recipes online with Bing’s image search with the addition of recipe badges. When performing an image search for a dish, you’ll see a small chef’s hat badge on some images along with a number. The badge and number indicate how many sites have a recipe with that particular image. The recipes aren’t always the same, but if you like the look of the image, you’ll have a collection of recipes that ought to get you close to the food you see.

To get to the recipes, click on an image from the search results page that has a recipe badge. Then with that image expanded, scroll down to the belt that features the number of recipes indicated in the badge.
