Art is subjective, but this sculpture called “Stormtrumper” is objectively terrifying.
It seems appropriate that Star Wars is the muse in this political art piece about Donald Trump, considering how in the films, the Clone Wars started with an emperor who knew how to influence the masses while also impressing the Intergalactic Banking Clan.
Artist Greg Dietzenbach even quoted Jedi master Yoda when he posted the “Stormtrumper” image on social media and his personal blog Wednesday: “Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
Using a Stormtrooper helmet purchased at a craft store, Dietzenbach applied air-dry clay to sculpt Trump’s facial features, eyebrows and famous hairdo. He used images of Trump puckering to get his lips just right. And he added an orange tan for an extra effect.
