Christian Willoughby had a bad day last week when he was taken in to the Grimsby Police Station in England on an unspecified misdemeanor charge. The one bright spot for him was that he reportedly managed to sneak a mobile device into the cell with him. He later posted a Facebook selfie, a series of photos and a review that would fit right in on a site like Yelp or TripAdvisor.
Willoughby is fairly generous in his rating, giving the Grimsby Police Station a four-star review. “It’s the all day breakfast that lets it down really. Apart from that the staff are pleasant enough,” he writes. He goes on the note the presence of a butler who comes with tea and newspapers.
“Room was nice, the minimalistic idea was a nice touch. It was secure and safe…Quadruple glazing and security door,” Willoughby opines in a post that quickly went viral. “Ideal place for winding down after a hard day. I’d definitely come back.”
Willoughby tells a friend on Facebook that the photos were taken with an iPad, which seems like it would be even harder to hide than a phone. In a follow-up post, he adds that he’s not sure what police think of his review as “they haven’t contacted me.”
Police are reportedly treating the incident as a serious security breach, according to the Grimsby Telegraph. The Grimsby Police didn’t immediately respond to our request for comment and more information. (It’s pretty late in the day there.)

The photos include a typical slightly out-of-focus selfie, a look at some glass bricks embedded in a wall, a glamour shot of the toilet facilities and a stomach-churning look at some shiny brown substance in a white tray labeled “Compleat all day breakfast.”
In case you’re wondering, the Compleat all day breakfast is supposedly made up of beans, pork sausages, potatoes, tomato puree and a variety of spices.
The review went viral, causing Willoughby to write on his Facebook page: “It’s got out of hand this. Can’t even turn my phone on now.” He later posted that he hasn’t heard anything from the local police force about the tongue-in-cheek social media commentary. Willoughby insists that the offense he was arrested for was “nothing bad.”
