Telstra taking pre

The quad-core long-term evolution (LTE) smartphone will be available on Telstra’s 4G network from 12 March.

While LG is showing off the Optimus G Pro at Mobile World Congress (MWC), Australians will get their first taste of the 4.7-inch Optimus G from 12 March, when it launches exclusive to the Telstra network.

The device is now available for pre-order via Telstra, at $0 on the telco’s AU$60/month plan. LG is spinning off its Formula One association to offer a pre-order competition, with anyone ordering between today and 4 March going in the draw to win an Australian Grand Prix “experience package”.

The Optimus G has a 13-megapixel camera, runs on the Snapdragon S4 processor series and features a high-density 2100mAh battery. Our preview of the phone is available here, and we’ll have a full review when units become available.
