Heads-up, job seekers: Apple wants to hire an Apple Watch evangelist.

The ideal candidate needs to be an “iOS app development expert” and would join the company’s evangelism team, Apple posted on its jobs page late last week. In the role, the employee will encourage third-party app developers to build Apple Watch apps.

“As a member of Apple’s Technology Evangelism team you’ll work closely with 3rd party developers to help them build platform differentiating, next generation apps for iOS, with a primary focus on Apple Watch apps,” the job posting says.

Apple has for years relied upon its evangelism team to build excitement and support for its products. The team has expanded as Apple’s product line has grown.

Apple Watch was unveiled in September. The device is slated to launch in early 2015 and comes in three editions: standard, luxury and “sport.”

The Apple Watch evangelist will require some serious know-how to get the full-time position. Apple wants the candidate to have knowledge of a wide range of programming languages, including C, C++, and Objective-C, and offer a “portfolio of iOS development experience.” The applicant must also have solid communications skills.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
