AT&T expands BlackBerry lineup

After making the rounds to other carriers, the BlackBerry Bold 9900, BlackBerry Torch 9860, and BlackBerry Curve 9360 will finally make their way to AT&T in the coming days.

AT&T announced today that the Bold 9900 and Torch 9860 will be available starting November 6, and the good news is that the smartphones are priced more reasonably than their counterparts on competing providers. The Bold is priced at $199.99 with a two-year contract, and the Torch 9860 is set to go at $99.99 on contract. Meanwhile, the Curve 9360 goes on sale November 20 for $29.99.

All three phones run BlackBerry OS 7 and are compatible with AT&T’s HSPA+ network. The Bold 9900 offers a 2.8-inch 640×480-pixel touch screen and full QWERTY keyboard; the Torch 9860 goes with an all touch-screen design. Both have a 1.2GHz processor and a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video-recording capabilities.

The Curve 9360 is more of an entry-level model and features a 2.44-inch, 480×360-pixel nontouch display, an 800MHz processor, and a 5-megapixel camera. A cameraless version will also be offered by AT&T.

Though BlackBerry fans are sure to be thrilled, the smartphones are facing stiff competition, as AT&T’s first 4G LTE handsets, the Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC Vivid, are also set to launch November 6.
