You don’t need a criminal lawyer, you need a criminal… lawyer. Better Call Saul, the spin-off prequel series from Breaking Bad, is coming to Netflix in the new year before it’s on British television.
Like the final season of Breaking Bad, each hour-long episode of Better Call Saul will pop up on Netflix shortly after it’s aired on US TV, meaning we don’t have to wait for ages to see the spin-off series on TV.
In the US and Canada, the whole first season will be available to stream online on Netflix after the season finale has been aired on telly.
Better Call Saul will recount the legal shenanigans of dodgy-dealing attorney Saul Goodman before his life was turned upside-down by drug kingpins Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. It’s co-created and executive produced by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, and Bob Odenkirk reprises his role as the smooth-talking, slippery Saul.
The air date for the new series has yet to be confirmed.
Instant access to new episodes of US shows is a fantastic idea, so I’d like to see a lot more of it alongside Netflix’s original programming.
Netflix costs £5.99 per month, with a month’s free trial.
