Democrats make following convention news easy with new app

Whether you’re planning to be in Philadelphia next week for the Democratic National Convention or miles away at home, convention organizers say they have an app to keep you as close to the action as possible.

The Democratic National Convention Committee released a new app Tuesday that will include in-depth and up-to-date videos, speeches, and photos from the DNC as well as a 360-degree live stream camera feed. It’ll also include real-time pre-populated tweets on the home page for instant sharing during key moments of the convention. Maps will display convention venues, Philadelphia watch parties, and where to find each of the 57 Donkeys Around Town art exhibit in Philly.

For delegates attending the convention, there will be access to speech transcripts, schedules, city maps and other features to help navigate the Wells Fargo Center and the city. And a “Best of Philadelphia” section highlights ways to make the most out of a visit to the City of Brotherly Love.

The app is available starting today in the Apple App Store and on Google Play. In addition to being accessible on mobile devices, users can also watch all video from the convention app on TVs via Google’s Chromecast or Apple’s Apple TV.
