Google last week announced an update to its Gmail for Android app. The headlining feature being added in the update was a unified inbox that was long missing from the app.
For some, the ability to view all of your email accounts, be it an Google or IMAP/POP account (iCloud, Comcast or the like) in the same place is the easiest way to keep tabs on multiple accounts.
The only problem was, the ability to view non-Google accounts mean threaded conversations cluttered up your Inbox — or so it appeared.
Threaded conversations groups together messages with the same subject into one tidy entry, where you can then move between individual emails within the conversation with ease.
Good news! Google didn’t leave this feature out in the update, it just needs to be enabled.

You can enable it by launching Gmail, sliding out the menu and selecting Settings from the bottom of the list. Next, tap on General Settings followed by checking the box on the Conversation View line.
With the box checked, conversations will be grouped together no matter the account they’re in. Pretty neat, eh?
