Arizona high school student Alex Cohen released a video to his YouTube channel that takes Adult Swim’s excellent ” Too Many Cooks,” which parodies VHS-era TV opening credits, and brings it into the worlds of Westeros and Essos.
In the clip, basically every character who has a pulse (and even some who don’t) appears on-screen alongside their names while the upbeat “Too Many Cooks” theme song plays in the background. From Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon to Littlefinger and Tyrion Lannister, all your favorite (and not-so-favorite) characters are present and accounted for in this over-the-top opening theme.
It just goes to show how many characters there are in “Game of Thrones,” and how complicated the battle for the Iron Throne truly is. You can check out the video for yourself at the top of this post. Admittedly, some of the editing is pretty rough, and after awhile everything just kind of devolves into scenes of violence, bloodshed and mayhem — you know, things found in abundance in “Game of Thrones.” Well, those and gratuitous nudity, of course.
