There’s a new major player in the streaming world called Tubi TV. The site offers up free movies and TV shows and it landed a big deal with Lionsgate and MGM that will boost its streaming library. Tubi TV has apps for iOS, Android, Roku Amazon Fire TV and the fourth-generation Apple TV. The catch? There are ads.
December will see big name titles landing on the free service. 1988’s “Rain Man” starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman arrives December 1. Steven Spielberg’s Academy Award-nominated “Amistad” will stream early in the month. Four “Paranormal Activity” titles arrive on December 17, and James Cameron’s “The Terminator” goes online on December 3.
