It’s already been 15 years since Microsoft debuted the Xbox.

Bill Gates came on stage at the Game Developers Conference on March 10, 2000 to unveil the original Xbox, which was released in the US on November 15, 2001. It’s also worthy of note that Halo: Combat Evolved was launched at the same time and was crucial to the game console’s success.

Microsoft followed that up with the Xbox 360 in 2005 and the Xbox One in 2013, which continues to compete with Sony’s PlayStation console.
