Good news, Windows Phone fans. If you’re an AT&T customer and own a Nokia Lumia

1520, you can now update your device to Windows Phone 8.1.

The Windows Phone 8.1 update brings a host of new features to Microsoft’s mobile operating system, and while the meager app selection remains a sore point, it’s a decidedly major improvement. The virtual assistant Cortana is arguably the centerpiece here, but the update also brings Start screen wallpapers, room for more Live Tiles, and the Action Center — a home for common settings and your notifications.

There’s also the Word Flow keyboard, which lets you slide your finger across the keyboard while predictive text figures out what you’re trying to say. Sure, Android has had Swiftkey and Swype for years, but better late than never, right?

You can get a full rundown of all the new features of Windows Phone 8.1 in the video below. If you’re ready to get started, head over to your phone settings and tap “Phone Update” to get the over-the-air update — it weighs in at about 250MB. For more information, you can check out AT&T’s software updates support page.
