White Orange San Francisco 2 now on sale

Good news for hard-up fans of shiny white gadgets — a white version of the Orange San Francisco 2 is now on sale, bringing pearlescent Android thrills to those shopping on a budget.

As you probably guessed from the name, the Orange San Francisco 2 is only available on Orange, but if you’re cool with that, the white version can be yours for free when you agree to a £10.50 per month, 24-month contract.

If two years sounds like a long time to go without an upgrade (it is, you’re not crazy), then £15.50 per month gets you an 18-month contract.

We’d expect this phone to also be available on pay as you go — we’ve asked Orange about this and we’ll update the story once we know.

The follow-up to the popular Orange San Francisco, the San Francisco 2 offers a 3.5-inch touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera and 3G connectivity for speedy web browsing.

We were impressed with this phone when we gave it the full review treatment, awarding it four stars and praising it for doing a good impression of a high-end smart phone while costing relatively little.

The white version sports identical specs to the original black iteration, so the choice of which to buy is a purely cosmetic one. That said, the black version is currently listed as out of stock on Orange’s website, so if you can’t wait to get your hands on this affordable blower, you might have to plump for the white version.

Are you lovestruck? Will you be nabbing one of these snow-coloured smart phones at the earliest opportunity? Tell us in the comments, or on our Facebook wall.
