When and where to buy the Amazon Fire Phone

Amazon on Wednesday announced its first smartphone: the Fire Phone . The device is equipped with a 4.7-inch IPS LCD HD display, a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel rear camera. It also includes Dynamic Perspective, a 3D feature that alters the phone’s display based on how you are holding it, as well as the company’s Mayday customer service feature, which first debuted on the Kindle

Fire tablet.

Where can I get one?

The Fire Phone will be available exclusively on AT&T. The device can be pre-ordered now on Amazon for $199 for the 32GB model and $299 for the 64GB model with a new two-year agreement. Off-contract prices are $649 and $749, respectively.

For a limited time, Amazon is also offering a full year of Amazon Prime with the purchase of the Fire Phone. Those customers who are already Prime members will have their membership extended by 12 months, while new members will receive a free year.

When can I get one?

The Fire Phone will be available online from Amazon and in AT&T stores nationwide on July 25. It’s unclear if the device will also make its way into Best Buy and RadioShack locations.
