With Red roaming already available for the UK, the US and New Zealand, Vodafone adds 34 European countries for customers looking to use the AU$5 per day international roaming offer.
Vodafone has announced that its AU$5 per day international roaming offer has now been extended to include Europe. Once activated on a Red plan, you can travel to a supported international destination and only be charged AU$5 per day to use your standard call and data allowances.
Back in August, Vodafone announced its new AU$5 per day international roaming deal for customers on its new Red plans. At launch, the deal was limited to three countries, making it a very nice option but clearly limited in scope. With the addition of 34 European countries, the deal becomes a much more exciting proposition for many different users.
The following European countries are included in the line up: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
The AU$5 per day offer lets you use your standard calls and data as you would at home. Included calls can be made to Australia, as well as within the country you are visiting.
Should you travel through multiple supported countries in a single day (highly possible while on a European holiday), you will still only be charged a single AU$5 per day fee.
The fine print for Vodafone Red Roaming does point out that you must opt in prior to departure, and the service can be used for a maximum of 45 days per calendar year.
