Though HTC has yet to formally unveil the smartphone, it appears that select Verizon retail stores have begun promoting its next 4G LTE handset, the HTC Rezound.
Over the weekend, DroidLife received photos from readers showing the in-store ads for the smartphone. It’s widely believed that the HTC will introduce the Rezound at an event in New York on Thursday.
HTC Rezound looks to be a high-end device, with a rumored a 4.3-inch 720p HD touch display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and an 8-megapixel camera. As noted in the invitation sent out last week, the phone will also offer Beats Audio integration. Judging by the in-store ad campaign, the Rezound should also feature tangle-free earbuds, much like the HTC Rhyme.
Once rumored with the code-name of Vigor, the HTC phone should be among Verizon’s top Android smartphones if only for a few days. According to Droid Life, the HTC Rezound may arrive on November 14, just days after the Droid Razr. Unfortunately, both the Rezound and Droid Razr may be overshadowed by the Galaxy Nexus, as it ushers in Android 4.0 on November 17.
CNET will be in attendance at the HTC event to bring readers firsthand coverage and early impressions, so check back on Thursday at noon, PT for more.
