Verizon gets social with Samsung Reality

Verizon Wireless introduced on Monday the Samsung Reality, a new slider QWERTY handset with social know-how.

The Reality features a 3-inch WQVGA touch screen with Samsung’s customizable TouchWiz interface, which now includes a Communities widget so users can update their status, post pictures from the phone’s 3.2-megapixel camera, and upload videos to YouTube right from the home screen.

In addition, it supports a full range of messaging options–Web mail, mobile e-mail, chat, and Exchange support. The Reality also offers Bluetooth, Visual Voice Mail, support for VZ Navigator, and standard personal organization tools like a calendar, alarm clock, currency converter, and notepad.

The Samsung Reality will be available through Verizon starting April 22 for $79.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate.
