At long last, Big Red’s prepaid customers get in on the LTE love. The carrier greenlighted 4G support for its AllSet prepaid rate plans, the network said on Tuesday.

Effective July 17, those on a no-contract plan can score unlimited talk and text as well as 500MB of data for $45 per month. In other words, it’s the same offering currently available, but with 4G LTE data speeds automatically included.
For a limited time, customers who sign up with Verizon’s Auto Pay service will receive an additional 500MB allotment at no additional cost. As is the case today, Big Red offers a 500MB bucket of data for $5; the additional data expires after 30 days. Those who need a bit more data can choose the 1GB and 3GB Bridge Data options. Available for $10 and $20, respectively, the spare data can be used over the course of 90 days.
If you’re still not sure, Verizon likes to toss out this little comparison: a Verizon customer who uses the Auto Pay feature can score 4GB of monthly data for $65 per month. T-Mobile, by contrast, allows for 3GB of data for $60 per month in its Simple Choice Plan.
