U.S. Cellular nabbing HTC Wildfire S, Hero S, Flyer

Starting next month, U.S. Cellular customers will be able to get their hands on the HTC Wildfire S, HTC Hero S, and HTC Flyer tablet. All will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The Hero S has a 4-inch qHD Super LCD touch screen, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The U.S. version of the HTC Kingdom, it’ll be available for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate, so long as you’ve got a data plan.

The more budget-friendly and basic HTC Wildfire S has a 3.2-inch display and a 5-megapixel camera. After the $100 mail-in rebate, it will cost you $79.99. We first reviewed it for T-Mobile.

The HTC Flyer (also known as the HTC Evo View 4G for Sprint) is a 7-incher powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor and 32GB of onboard memory. It also comes with the optional Scribe pen, which is sold separately. The tablet, which also runs Gingerbread, is available for $399.99 after that same $100 mail-in rebate, plus a two-year service agreement and $54.99 data plan.

Members of U.S. Cellular’s Belief Project plans can get the Wildfire S and Hero S without having to sign a new contract, if they’re eligible for an upgrade.
