By the end of 2015, the carrier will add another 600 4G LTE cell sites across ten states. All told, there are more than 2,000 cities and towns included as part of the expansion.

Once U.S. Cellular fully rolls out its network expansion, 98 percent of its customer base should be able to access to it high speed data. As of today, the figure sits at around 94 percent.

Among the states benefiting from the growth are California, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia. According to U.S. Cellular the expanded footprint focuses on areas which, in U.S. Cellular’s words, “other carriers ignore.”
