O2 is the least annoying phone company — and once again TalkTalk and Three are the worst. That’s according to new complaint figures from Ofcom.
Despite reducing the number of complaints in the last six months, TalkTalk has now been the most moaned-about ISP over the whole year, right back to this time last year.
The report is based on the number of people complaining to telecoms regulator Ofcom, rather than to the ISPs and phone networks themselves.
TalkTalk had an average of 0.55 complaints per 1,000 broadband customers. BT had 0.50 complaints per 1,000 broadband customers, Orange 0.44, BSkyB 0.19, and Virgin Media 0.19 per 1,000.
And once again it’s Three that drew the most ire from mobile users — 0.14 complaints per 1,000 mobile phone customers. This despite offering unlimited data.
Virgin Mobile and Vodafone drew 0.07 complaints per 1,000, and T-Mobile suffered 0.06 complaints per 1,000.
Orange garnered 0.07 compliants per 1,000. We wonder if next year’s report will show more gripes against the citrus-hued network after last month’s swingeing price increases.
The clear winner is O2 with a paltry 0.02 complaints per 1,000 customers. O2 has 0.02 complaints! You couldn’t make it up.
