Hey, Apple fanboys who secretly love the new Windows Phone 7-based smartphones–and according to editor Bonnie Cha’s hands-on experience, you’re well excused–I have some good news.

Microsoft announced today the beta version of the connector software that allows you to sync Windows Phone 7 devices with a Mac, much like you’ve always synced the iPhone or iPod with a computer.

The Windows Phone 7 Connector lets you synchronize your music, videos, photos, and podcasts from iTunes and iPhoto to any Windows Phone 7-based device. It works on any Mac that runs Mac OS 10.5 or later. It requires iTunes 9.0 or later if you want to sync audio and video content.

Once installed, the connector will automatically run each time you plug in your Windows Phone 7 device. After that, from within the application, you can browse your iTunes and iPhoto media and select what you want to sync with the device. The sync process will also copy media content taken by the phone onto your Mac.

The beta version of Windows Phone Connector for Mac can be downloaded for free from Microsoft.
