Sprint to offer BlackBerry Curve 3G September 26

Joining T-Mobile and Verizon, Sprint will begin selling the RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 on September 26 through its direct sales channels for $49.99 with a two-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate. It will be available from all sales channels starting October 10.

Similar to the other models, Sprint’s Curve 3G ships running BlackBerry OS 5 but is BlackBerry OS 6 ready. Spring didn’t announce a specific date for the update but did say it would be in the new year.

The entry-level Curve 3G offers such features as a 2-megapixel camera, 512MB flash memory (2GB microSD included in the box), and full wireless options–Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G. Of course, it also supports a number of Sprint services, including the Sprint Music Store and Sprint TV.

The BlackBerry Curve 3G for Sprint will be available in graphite gray and royal purple.
