Sprint on Wednesday outlined the availability details for its latest smartphone, the 5.7-inch LG G Stylo. Starting today, the handset will be offered across a number of the carrier’s brands.
Boost Mobile, a Sprint subsidiary, is first out of the gate with a prepaid — where a user pays in advance of using the service — version of the device. Looking ahead a few weeks, the Stylo will also be sold directly through Sprint proper.

As a lower-cost alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the LG G Stylo runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and features midrange hardware. As the name implies, the G Stylo include a stylus pen which allows users to draw and write on its screen.
Running the show internally are a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. While the phone does offer microSD expansion card support, it’s limited to 32GB maximum. The G Stylo also includes custom enhancements such as Knock Code and QuickMemo+.
Boost Mobile sells the LG G Stylo for $200 without contract; Sprint Prepaid will carry the phone (with the same price) on June 7.
Looking ahead to June 12, the smartphone will also come to Sprint as part of its postpaid — where users are billed after the fact, according to their use over the month — lineup. Sprint plans to offer the G Stylo for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $12 each; the all-in cost comes to $288.
