Sprint has upped the ante on its LTE network coverage, flipping the switch on 40 new US cities, for a total of 340 markets now slurping the faster 4G.
The carrier has already ticked most major cities off the list, and now residents of Providence, R.I.; Milwaukee, Wisc.; Salt Lake City; Mobile, Ala.; and Reno, Nev., will now be bathed with Sprint’s LTE.
Beyond Sprint’s regular LTE, the wireless provider is also developing and slowly deploying Sprint Spark, its enhanced, next-gen LTE, to roughly 100 US cities over the next three years. Spark is currently cruising in Austin, Texas; Chicago; Dallas; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Fort Worth, Texas; Houston; Los Angeles; Miami; New York; San Antonio, Texas; and Tampa, Fla.
