Spotlight: Prepaid Samsung t369 from T

Anyone who’s ever been locked into a two-year contract with a carrier can appreciate the freedom of a prepaid phone, and anyone who’s ever experienced one of those devices on a network with a so-so spectrum can appreciate a prepaid option from tier-one operators like T-Mobile. The Samsung t369 is one such specimen.

The t369 comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 1.3-megapixel camera with video recorder, Bluetooth support, and a microSD slot good for 16GB expandable memory. There’s also a WAP browser, a music player, and instant messaging apps.

The t369 is a quad-band world phone, measuring 4.5 inches tall, 2.1 inches wide, and 0.6 inch thick. It comes with a QVGA screen (320×240 pixels) and weighs in at just under 4 ounces. There’s a rated battery life of up to 5.5 hours of talk time.

At $79.99, the Samsung t39 is T-Mobile’s second-most-expensive prepaid phone on offer, but it’s also one of the more feature-rich, and it’s not the priciest prepaid option out there by a long shot. T-Mobile is sweetening the deal with a free $25 prepaid refill card when you buy the t369 on T-Mobile’s Web site.
