The decidedly hawt Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 — previously known as the even sexier-sounding Rachel — will finally be available in the UK from April.
At the time of writing, Vodafone is the only UK network provider confirmed to be offering the X10 — but stay tuned as this may well change. With Mobile World Congress coming up in just over a week, announcements will be coming thicker and faster than a footballer driving through a built-up area.
We’re very much looking forward to getting our hands on the X10, which boasts an 8-megapixel camera and GPS navigation. Although it’s well-featured, it’ll be running Android version 1.6, so it’ll be several months out of date compared to the Google Nexus One, for example.
The X10 will mark Son Eric’s first foray into the world of Android, but apart from the tardy software, it’s looking promising. In our hands-on a few months back we were impressed with the camera, which sports facial recognition, as well as the phone’s social media integration. We’re also keen on the unique user interface, which features three separate home screens that you flip between using the 4-inch touchscreen.
