Sharp Aquos Crystal comes to Sprint, Boost Mobile

After nearly two months of waiting, Sprint is finally making the Sharp Aquos Crystal available for purchase. The affordable and practically frameless 5-inch smartphone will go on sale beginning Friday, October 17.

Announced in mid-August, the Sharp Aquos Crystal is an Android 4.4.2 KitKat handset with middle-of-the-pack hardware. The aforementioned display features a 1,280×720-pixel resolution, and the rear houses an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video-recording capability.

Under the hood we find a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, 8GB of storage, and 1.5GB of RAM. Equipped for Sprint’s Spark LTE network, the phone can also make HD Voice calls.

Sprint will sell the Aquos Crystal on Easy Pay for $0 down, plus 24 payments of $10 per month, with an all-in cost of $240.

Sprint prepaid brand Boost Mobile starts stocking the handset today, tapping it with a $150 off-contract price tag. Looking ahead, the Aquos Crystal comes to Sprint Prepaid on October 21 with the same no-commitment option.
