Samsung offers two prepaid phones for AT&T

AT&T’s Go prepaid service may not get the flashiest cell phones, but it is an ideal first stop if you’re searching for a functional handset with a simple design and an affordable price tag. Samsung is a frequent source of such models, and it recently gave us two more with the SGH-A187 and SGH-A197. Both are now available on AT&T’s Web site and in some carriers’ stores.

The SGH-A187 has a full QWERTY keyboard for easy testing and messaging. Inside its blue candy bar design you’ll find a 1.3-megapixel camera, a digital music player, Bluetooth, a speakerphone, a Web browser, and a personal organizer. It’s $79.99 without a contract.

The SGH-A197 sports a standard flip-phone design in black. Features are beyond basic with just a VGA camera, a personal organizer, Bluetooth, text and instant messaging, and a speakerphone. No contract is needed here, either, and it will cost you just $49.99
