Samsung ‘next Galaxy’ on Vodafone, likely the Galaxy S3

Samsung’s promised ‘next Galaxy’ device is coming to Vodafone, the red-tinted network has confirmed.

Almost certain to be the Samsung Galaxy S3, Vodafone customers keen to exchange money for the South Korean company’s upcoming gadget can cruise on over to this site and register for updates.

Unfortunately this latest bit of news doesn’t give anything away about what we can expect from the S3 itself. I know what we’re looking for though — a source speaking to CNET UK has tipped the next Galaxy phone to be a modest upgrade to the Galaxy S2, introducing goodies like a quad-core processor.

That chimes with hardware leaks last week as well. The big kicker is we’ve been told not to expect Samsung’s latest phone to be called the Galaxy S3. Could it actually be called the ‘next Galaxy’, a la the new iPad?

Earlier today Samsung spat out a teaser trailer for its new blower, snidely jabbing at Apple customers with some not-so-subtle bleating sheep, and showing off the same splodges that adorned the official S3 invite.

All will be revealed on 3 May at a London launch event — CNET UK will of course be present to bring you all the news as it happens, so keep your peepers peeled and your browser locked on.

Being such a big product, I’d be amazed if the Galaxy S3 didn’t make its way to every major UK network, so don’t despair if you’re an Orange, O2, T-Mobile or Three customer.

Are you planning on buying Samsung’s ‘next Galaxy’? Let me know in the comments, or on our Facebook wall.
