2:11

Samsung’s newest flagship phones were treated to a grand unveiling at last night’s Mobile World Congress press conference. “It’s not going to completely turn their fortunes around,” said Shara. When asked whether the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will help Samsung fend off increasingly vicious competition from Chinese manufacturers such as Xiaomi and Huawei, she notes those rivals still have the edge when it comes to aggressive pricing.

“There’s no way they’re going to be able to reach the pricing of the Chinese vendors,” says Shara. “It’s not really going to change things for them on the low end.”
