According to details obtained by oft-reliable SamMobile, Samsung will debut the 5.1-inch Galaxy S5 Neo later this year.

The phone will reportedly offer many of the same specifications found in last year’s flagship model, like a a 16-megapixel rear camera, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB RAM and a 2,800mAh battery. It;’s also rumored to have the same size and weight as the original model.

So what’s different about the Neo variant? Not a great deal, says SamMobile’s tipster. The S5’s Qualcomm processor has allegedly been swapped out for a 1.6GHz 64-bit octa-core Exynos chipset from Samsung. On paper, at least, this means a less powerful experience.

On the other hand, the S5 Neo’s front-facing camera is said to jump from 2-megapixels to 5-megapixels. If true, this could put selfie shot quality on par with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

Rounding things out, the Galaxy S5 variant could offer support for LTE-A connectivity. Not found in the original model, that would allow for data connections up to four times the speed of traditional 4G LTE.

The Galaxy S5 Neo may be sold in single-SIM and dual-SIM versions and could find a home in China, India and Russia.
