The camera-focused Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is set to cost £440 and could be in your hands in just over a week.
Online shop Clove says the S4 Zoom will hit shelves on 8 July, a week on Monday — the day before Nokia unveils its hotly-tipped Nokia Lumia EOS 1020 photoblower.
The 16MP Zoom is set to go head-to-head with the Lumia when Nokia unveils what is rumoured to be a whopping 41-megapixel snapper. Previously known as the Nokia Lumia EOS, the
phone is expected to be named as the Nokia Lumia 1020, and will be announced on Tuesday in New York.
We’re expecting the S4 Zoom will also be available on contracts with the major phone networks, although no-one has confirmed exact details yet.
On one side, the S4 Zoom looks like a regular dog and bone, with a 4.3-inch screen and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software. Flip it over though, and it looks like a compact camera, complete with 10x optical zoom lens.
Inside is a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and roughly 5GB of storage. It’s a 4G device, to zap your snaps to your social networks in double-quick time.
The Zoom is just one of a range of spin-offs to the S4, including the waterproof S4 Active and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, on sale this weekend.
