Samsung Galaxy S3 4.8

There’s only a day to go before the Samsung Galaxy S3 takes a bow, and more leaked photos have emerged confirming the 4.8-inch screen and 12-megapixel camera.

What appears to be an official S3 screen protector confirms the phone’s large screen. By sticking the screen protector on current phones, Unwire reveals that the home button is pushed further down and the screen takes up almost all of the face.

The 4.8-inch screen jibes with the size mentioned in a purported S3 user manual recently dug up.

The sequel to the super-selling Samsung Galaxy S2 is unveiled here in London tomorrow, and anticipation is reaching fever-pitch. The latest addition to the gallery of leaked photos of the S3 doesn’t tell us much apart from giving us another look at the physical home button, but SamMobile, who revealed the snap, also seemed sure that the camera will be a 12-megapixel job.

Samsung is going from strength in the phone and tablet market: thanks to the S2 and its Galaxy and Tab products, Samsung has ousted Nokia as the world’s biggest phone maker, having tripled smart phone shipments in the last year. The S3 is set to be another smash hit, giving the likes of the HTC One X, Nokia Lumia 900 and iPhone 4S a real run for their money.

We’ll be at the London launch of the S3 tomorrow evening, so don’t fiddle with that dial and keep it CNET for the first news, hands-on previews and spiffiest video. In the meantime, press play on our video for more on the S3, how 4G will make Britain rich, and a bizarre BlackBerry stunt:
