The revelation setting our lips all aquiver this week is word that Samsung’s enormously popular Galaxy S2 phone is at last being updated to Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Android.

The update hits S2 devices in the UK from 19 March, which is next Monday. You might have to wait a bit longer for your update if you’ve got an S2 on contract though, as networks will need to make sure the new version of the software works with all the extras they stick on phones.

The HTC Sensation and Sensation XE are also in the process of being updated, but have phone owners been made to wait too long for the latest version of Android? Send me your thoughts by way of the comments.

The Sony Xperia Pepper is a leaked phone you’ll take a peep at, and you’ll be on speaking terms with the HTC Golf, a rumoured wallet-friendly phone that’s reportedly arriving running Android 4.0, and the Samsung Galaxy Pocket, which is unlikely to break the bank when it comes out later this year.

Angry Birds are reporting from the International Space Station, so if you ever wanted to see a pig meet its maker in zero gravity, this is your chance. Press play on the video above and bear witness.
