The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is on sale today in the UK, though you’ll need a fair bit of cash if you want to acquire the South Korean tech giant’s newest giganto-phone.

The Note 4, which got an official airing at the start of September, was meant to go on sale in the UK last week, but had its release date pushed back. With a 16-megapixel camera and a 2,650×1,440 pixel display, the Note 4 is Samsung’s biggest, most powerful Note yet. We called it “outstanding” in our in-depth review , awarding a score of a hearty four and a half stars.

The Note 4 has a price tag to match its high-flying hardware, however. Carphone Warehouse is selling the Note 4 from today in black and white, with a gold version to follow on 24 October. You’ll be splashing out 5p under £650 to get it SIM-free, or free upfront when you tie yourself into a £43.50 per month, 24 month contract.

There are some cheaper SIM-free prices floating around, but you may have to wait. Amazon has the Note 4 available to buy for a cheaper £600 SIM-free, but is currently listed as dispatching “within one to two months,” which likely won’t suit if you’re desperate to get your mitts on Samsung’s latest toy.

Samsung itself is selling the Note 4 for £629, but curiously says it’s not scheduled to ship until 21 October. Clove meanwhile has a listed price of £575, but says its stock has been delayed until 24 October. If you’ve spotted the Note 4 on sale anywhere for a tempting price, help out fellow Internet travellers by dropping a note in the comments, and let us know whether you’re planning on picking up Samsung’s newest smartphone.
