Leaked pictures alleged to show the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 have surfaced, giving us a glimpse at a prototype of the new Note. Or should we say… wait for it… a Note-otype. Huzzah!
The pictures were leaked to Techkiddy. Even if real, they’re unlikely to show the finished design of the Note 3, as Samsung takes great pains to disguise forthcoming designs. The leaks certainly show much squarer corners than we’d expect from Samsung, which typically rounds the corners of recent Android devices.
The Note 3 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch high definition screen and will make its debut — if Samsung sticks to Note tradition — at trade show IFA in September. Fingers crossed the new Note will also be joined by Samsung’s smart watch while it’s at it.
Like the Galaxy S4 smart phone, the Note 3 is also rumoured to have a different processor in different regions. Samsung’s own eight-core Exynos 5420 chip could make an appearance, with a Snapdragon 800 chip in other countries; if the S4 is anything to go by, the eight-core Exynos version will be relatively rare.
Word on the street is that the chip will be backed by 3GB of RAM. And previous leaks suggest the Note 3 will pack a xenon flash for the rumoured 13-megapixel main camera.
