Samsung Galaxy Nexus UK price and networks confirmed

The new Samsung Galaxy Nexus will soon be arriving in the UK, courtesy of Phones4U, as well as networks O2, Three and Vodafone.

Phones4U will be the first independent UK mobile retailer to offer the flagship Android smart phone, but don’t get your hopes up unless you’ve recently sold some organs. It’s available free from a whopping £46 per month on a two-year contract. If that’s a bit rich for your blood, you can cough up £29.95 and get it on a £41 per month contract.

Vodafone, Three and O2 have also confirmed they will be offering the new Nexus, although so far there’s been no mention of prices — safe to say though, you can expect it to float somewhere around Phones4U’s pricing. We expect to hear announcements shortly from Orange and T-Mobile about their deals.

There’s no word yet on exactly when the thing will be available, but we’re hoping they don’t take too long about it, as it’s set to be pretty special. It packs a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED screen with a whopping 720p resolution we can’t wait to wrap our eyeballs around.

It will also be the first smart phone to be running the latest version of Android, named Ice Cream Sandwich, which brings together the smart phone-centric features of 2.3 Gingerbread and the more tablet-specific 3.2 Honeycomb into one glorious whole.

Make sure to keep it CNET UK for updates on networks and availability, but in the meantime, check out our gallery of official pictures and let us know in the comments below and over on our utterly fantastic Facebook page what you think of the new Nexus. Excited?
