Samsung has formally confirmed that two new handsets under the brand of Galaxy Mega are on their way.

As previously reported, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 will have a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, a 5.8-inch qHD screen and a 2600mAh battery. It will weigh 182g and measure 162.6×82.4×9.0mm.

Both handsets have 8-megapixel rear-facing cameras and 1.9-megapixel front-facing cameras, and both phones will run Android Jellybean (4.2).

Intriguingly, the phones will first be released in Europe and Russia, starting from May, with the press release stating that availability “varies by market”.
