Vodafone Australia announced it will partner with Red Bull to deliver a new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) service in Australia later in the year.
The new Red Bull Mobile service will share Vodafone’s enhanced network infrastructure, giving customers access to the new 850MHz radio frequency. Red Bull will add a range of complementary services to its basic phone connections, with plans to stream Red Bull TV to customers and exclusive tickets to Red Bull-sponsored sporting events. Red Bull will also sell its own branded mobile phone handsets.
Red Bull joins a short list of companies reselling Vodafone network access alongside Exetel, Savvytel, Lebara Mobile and Crazy John’s, which itself is a subsidiary of Vodafone Hutchinson Australia (VHA).
