HTC One Max back in black, not in UK yet

The HTC One Max is going through a goth phase, with a new black model announced in Hong Kong.

The finger-scanning 5.9-inch One Max is a bigger brother to the original HTC One and their little brother the One Mini. Currently available in silver, the Max costs around £590, or you can get it on a contract from networks including EE, O2 and Vodafone.

HTC revealed the new shade of Max in a press release alongside the gold version of the One. The black Max is only available in Hong Kong for now — I’ve contacted HTC in the UK to find out if it will be coming here.

The One Max is HTC’s phablet, rival to the oversized likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Under the giant 1080p screen is a quad-core processor and Ultrapixel camera, with a fingerprint sensor on the back to protect the phone.

Is the One Max a fine phablet or a finger-scanning failure? Let me know in the comments, or on our gigantic Facebook page.
