To be demonstrated at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt next month, Nokia’s new technology includes Here Auto Cloud, a platform that will provide drivers with access to real-time traffic updates, road closures, and recommendations based on their location. The cloud service will always be on, according to Nokia.
Here Auto Cloud lives atop Nokia’s Here Auto platform. That offering includes in-car navigation and works in 95 countries. Nokia said it plans to launch a software development kit that would allow developers to create applications that could be integrated with Nokia’s services.
Nokia did not announce pricing or availability on its cloud integration, but more details should be announced next month at the Motor Show.
